Using Outlook 2000 to help filter spam
Although it won't stop all spam, Outlook 2000 does have a few features that will help you automatically filter out SOME unwanted messages.

Filtering junk and/or adult email

Filtering email from a particular sender

To automatically move, delete, or color-code junk e-mail and/or adult-themed email messages:

  1. Click Inbox.

  2. Click Organize.

  3. Click Junk E-mail.

  4. Use the drop-down menus to automatically color junk and/or adult email messages, or to direct them to a different folder.

  5. Click Turn on.
To automatically move or delete all e-mail messages from a particular sender

  1. Click Inbox.

  2. Click on a message from the sender whose messages you want to automatically move or delete.
  3. On the Actions menu, point to Junk E-mail, and then click Add to Junk Senders list.
