What does quota exceeded mean?
There is a chance that you have reached the maximum file size total allowed for your plan. If that is the case, you can add more storage space to your account.

To learn how to do this, see the Related Link in the column to the left of this window.

There is also a chance that your quotas are incorrect. If you think this might be the case, please use the Users area of the Account Control Panel to check how much disk space you are using, and compare it with the maximum allowed by your plan. If there is a mistake, please contact customer support with a description of the problem.

Found the fix.

It seems that it is easy to mix up the ftp user with an email user. When you create an FTP user account it askes if you would like to create and email address as well. If you do, then the FTP user has an EMAIL address which shows up with all other email users.

Thing is if you limit the disk quota on the FTP EMAIL user account you also limiting the disk quota on the FTP user account.

Removing the quota on the FTP EMAIL user account also removes it on the FTP user account and vice-a-versa.

I did this and it works, I no longer get any quota exceeded messages.

Hope this post helps others who have been caught out.

Cheers,

LM

Exact same problem, thought it was something to do with setting the disk quota for an ftp user, mistaking it for an email user.

However changing this (lifting the quota on the ftp user) did not seem to help. Still looking into it.

Logged a support request, however dearmhost replied saying they could not find any problems with FTP ... wonderful help that was!!! After waiting 24hrs for a response.
