/usr/sbin/sendmail is the path to sendmail on our systems.

If you run sendmail on your new Dreamhost account to send mail to an address in your domain name *before* transferring your domain name to Dreamhost, Dreamhost's DNS server will claim the mail rather than sending it out to the DNS that you have registered. I hope that made sense, but what this means is that sendmail may look like it's not working before you transfer your domain registration.
