Mirror of DreamHost’s Knowledge Base

Thursday, January 26th, 2006

Since DreamHost integrated the DreamHost Knowledge Base into the DreamHost Community Wiki, I’ve heard a number of complaints about the move.

old links are broken (there is no way to tell what kbase article https://panel.dreamhost.com/kbase/index.cgi?area=138 was about)
user comments have not been moved (the comments were sometimes the [...]

Open The Champagne DreamHost

Tuesday, January 24th, 2006

DreamHost is now hosting more than 200.000 domains.
Two months ago I predicted that DreamHost would reach this magic number just after New Year. Since then they have continued their exponential growth, and is now number 39 on WebHosting.Info’s Worldwide Top 50 Web Hosts based on their total domains count.
So, what’s next? 250.000 domains before 1th [...]

Saturday, January 21st, 2006

Just a quick note to let you know that the DreamHost Knowledge Base has been integrated to the DreamHost Wiki.
Currently links to articles in the old Knowledge Base are directed to the frontpage with a link to the Wiki, but hopefully DreamHost will map the old URLs to the Wiki sooner or later.

Custom DNS for everyone

Tuesday, December 27th, 2005

DreamHost has merged the Custom DNS settings into the Manage Domains area. There is now a small [DNS] link next to each domain/subdomain which takes you to a page where you can add a DNS record (both A, CNAME, MX, TXT, PTR and SRV records) for the selected domain.

Full control over the entire DNS settings [...]
