The Web Hosting Arms Race
The web hosting business is known to be very competitive…
A few days after DreamHost posted their Like hammer for sidekick video, Site5 tried to outperform DreamHost by throwing a server off a tall building. I’m scared of the next move! Will TextDrive enter the battle zone or will DreamHost immediately try to outdo Site5 and how?
Stay Tuned for updates…

I hope that the competitive nature of web hosts will start to move more into the dedicated server market.

@Nick
Oh boy, if I could only describe how bad I need a dedicated server. If DH leased dedicated servers now, and increased the server specs, would make me extremely happy.

no disrespect to the site5 folks but they have a long way to go to catch up in the arms race. If they shot the video from the ground they might have been a contender.
hosting it on their own server would at least be a show of faith in themselves.

Site5 cameraman … you’re fired!
DH boys … don’t be afraid to step it up a notch … the death of a sidekick was only fun for a few minutes from my seat (I’m sure it was much more fun for you guys…) That part about using the claw though, now that was funny. =)
Hint, hint: I love to see schtuff slingshotted through the air for distances and heights … and not just one … then slick it all up to a CellDweller mashup track … yea, yea I’m outta here…
