Ruby on Rails 1.0

Ruby on Rails DreamHost has finally upgraded Ruby on Rails from Rails 0.14.3 (Release Candidate 4) to Rails 1.0.

The upgrade includes the new gems daemons (toolkit to create and control daemons), facets (extension methods and module/class additions), gd2 (interface to gd 2 library), gen (simple code generation system), glue (utility methods and classes for nitro), ruby-breakpoint (breakpoints) and uuidtools (generation of UUIDs).

That’s great news. I’ve been with dreamhost for about 9 months now, and I’ve been quite quiet in terms of taking advantage of the great features that they provide.
Though I haven’t used the vast majority of the supporting features, I’m going to start very soon. Go Dreamhost!
