Custom DNS for everyone
DreamHost has merged the Custom DNS settings into the Manage Domains area. There is now a small [DNS] link next to each domain/subdomain which takes you to a page where you can add a DNS record (both A, CNAME, MX, TXT, PTR and SRV records) for the selected domain.
Full control over the entire DNS settings used to be a feature only available for customers at the more advanced plans, but does currently seem to be available for all customers. This change hasn’t been announced yet, so it could be a mistake that it’s available for everyone, but my guess is, they will announce it as an upgrade in the next newsletter in the beginning of January.
